A Small Dedication to M-Fest 2008

I know this is 3 weeks late after M-Fest 2008 was held on 31 August 2008. But better late than never and I feel really happy to be part of the team of organising it again. This is my 4th time involving myself in M-Fest and as secretary, though my minutes don't come in prompty as we draw nearer to the day, I still managed to do my duties well in other matters. Thanks to Zek & Sunny who encouraged me to run another year of this big event organisation.

Having lesser responsibilities as the years before, I feel I contributed more time into M-Fest this time around. I'm glad I was able to use all my previous 3 years of experiences to give it back all at once in this M-Fest. Most importantly, the team of people I worked with is one of those that are young and willing to work and I guess we are all happy with the outcome of all our hard work. Thanks to Zek, Amanda, Sheera, Afir, Salina, Joana & Josh.. I am glad to be able to work with you all and get to know you all a lot better... especially Abang Afir that is so shy, tak cakap banyak until now, we all talk just about anything :).

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY!!

Dearest Mummy,

I would like to dedicate a post to you on your special day.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I didn't mean to make you feel sad for not having us with you this year with that video but whatever I convey in there is really what I felt. Like I said, I'm sorry that I may not be the best daughter that is perfect to your eyes, never the smart one or pretty one. But I hope one day I would turn into what is acceptable and hope that when that day come, you actually will smile and happy. I mentioned in the video that I am very much like you.. not willing to say I really really love you mum.. with my own mouth in front of you.

I believe you always thinks that I enjoyed Sydney so much that I do not miss home because of the freedom but now, I am ready to reveal the truth, I actually miss having you around me. Though all the times when you are around me, you nags and all which often annoys me but I do know it's for my own good. Every time having either me leaving KL for Sydney or you leaving Sydney back home after visiting me, I often tried to hide my tears, not wanting you to worry and know I would miss you but in actual fact I do. I actually enjoy those mother and daughter talks when we talk about bro and dad and how the company is doing and all when we have those long distance calls. I truly hope we could have more of those talk face to face.

Overall, I really hope you would start to put down the burden of worrying for everyone of us (though I know it's hard for you being a wife and a mother) but the more you worry, the more you tired yourself, the more you think too much and less rest you will have. So, for once, listen to me and that way, you could see the world been less stressful and all.

I hope last night's celebration was good, having me and bro chipped in a bit. I do hope you enjoyed your rest of your birthday today and do enjoy everyday happily. Do some honeymooning with dad.. since we are away.. once again.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY...

Malam Gema Merdeka - 23 August 2008

Since the beginning of August, I had been busy practising the Chinese dance that I agreed to choreograph since last year. This same dance will also be featuring at M-fest 2008 after talking to Nik Arif about it. Thanks Nik Arif!! :P

Anyway, it was a tough one this time as I had 12 girls with me and it is tough to practise together when we all are free at different times to practices. But at the end of it, I am glad we made it through. Though it is not perfect, I guess we did our best.

Congratulations to all the crew of MGM. All the hard work is all worth it when the audience love it!!

My 24th Birthday Post after 2 months.. :P

I know it's super late but I really was very busy to even post anything. So, here you go, how did I celebrate being 24?

Firstly, as the clock approached 12 midnight, I was in the bus of the whole NSW NCG contingent, on our way home to King's College. Then everyone suddenly realised it's my birthday and the whole bus sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me. Thank you everyone. I gotten my present from winning the gold medals.. :P That night we went back and changed and just went to some bar and have some drink but I was darn tired to enjoy to the max.

The next day, some of us headed to Gold Coast. Dom and I joined Chrys and gang at their accommodation. That night we had dinner at some Italian restaurant and first surprise came with a cake from the restaurant. Thanks guys.

Of course, celebration do not end there. Bernard and I decided to have a drinking night and last minute we had it at Coolabar which I ended up in the toilet for 1 hour plus. Too many photos to share.. I believed most of you have seen them on Facebook.. :P Thanks to all who came though.

Well, still I didn't end my birthday celebration without a dinner with some of my best mates. So, a joint birthday dinner with June at Sheraton on the Park was a good one to end the celebration. We purposely organised a buffet style dinner so that we pay good and still get more food than usual fine dining. Thanks Joy, Min Li, Dom, Man, Vonne and Edwin for coming..
