CNY Recap.. 10 days in Msia..

This is a very late post.. Sorry.. only managed to edit now..

Yes, I'm back in Sydney. The departure from Malaysia was very emotional. Mum had tears and talked to me in the car on the way to the airport. It is always the hardest moment when I was about to walk into the immigration counter and when I looked back at my parents, I had to hold on my tears and walk in. Then, my tears fall after that.

Mum is known for being tough on the outside and soft in the inside. I guess I got the similar traits from her. I admit I may look tough, like most people think and I thanked you all for looking up at me that way. But, in actual fact, I fall down like anyone else. Just that it's often not at the surface. You won't get to see it. :)

So, the whole CNY period was precious to me. To tell the truth, I really enjoyed my trip back and no regrets even I have to wait a bit longer for PR application. Reunion lunch was great, with food that can feed 30-40, we only had 12 of us there to eat. On the first day of CNY, it was the most relaxed day for Mum as compared to the balance 364 days of the year. :) Anyway, we had another great dinner and I finally got to see my cousin bro's daughter, my niece. Another great news, my cousin sister is expecting!! We celebrated my cousin's birthday that night too. The night ended in my grandma's house when all fathers had their chats being brothers, all mothers have their female chats, all the guys grandchildren all had their talkings too except me and grandma. Well, in case you all do not know, I'm the only granddaughter to my grandma. So, I ended up talking to her a bit but we have been having our talks over the past one week plus, all the topics are covered.. :)

Anyway, second day, is the noisy happening day where we all head back to my mum's hometown in Raub and everyone else would be back. So, naturally the house is noisy with CNY vibe. With my nephew and nieces around, the house was about to fall apart. My cousins and I were wondering why were we not that noisy last time when we were youn? haha.. then as usual at dinner table, all cousins sat at one table with cousins jokes and laughter, we enjoyed the company and all. At night, mum and my aunties were playing gin rummy and I finally understood the game. The 3rd day of CNY, everyone woke up going into the 21 card games as they were all looking forward. I did not really play cause my luck is not always there. So, I ended up joining the aunties chat and sort of babysit my nieces. I love my youngest niece as she gets excited over things and is very happy with everything. That night we head back to KL.

On the 4th day of CNY, there were nothing much throughout the day until my Grand-aunt came to visit with two of my mum's cousins and families. Then dinner at night again. After dinner, I headed to PJ to meet up with Manfred, June, Julian, Jolyn and some others just to meet up. I'm glad I went as after that I didn't get to meet them up. On the 5th day of CNY, met up with June, Kim Teck, Chin and Brandon to go Klang for bak kut teh and head to Yien Von's place to visit. At least I got to meet up Edwin and Yien Von before they leave back to Sydney. Then they came to my house and I had to break off from the visiting trips to go Grandma's house for dinner.

Carry on 6th day, I was just preparing for the next day's gathering and had dinner at a vegetarian restaurant nearby. At the same time, I discovered more about my aunt's accident which was quite serious. So, came the 7th day, as usual we went Grandma's place and then head back home to continue get busy for my gathering. Thanks to dad, mum, all my aunties who helped me cooked and cousins for helping me around. Thanks to my friends who came that night especially the Msia gang, it was another farewell for me. And to those from Sydney, thanks for coming though many got lost, sorry for the trouble.

On the 8th day, I did my blood test and I met up with another friend of mine in 1 Utama for lunch. We had movie and gosh, I love watching movies in Msia, it's cheap and so worthy.:) I did some last minute shopping too. Then at night we went to grandma's house for prayers.

On the 9th day of CNY, I had more last minute shopping before heading home and had a great family dinner at Jogoya, Japanese buffet. It was when we had a good family photo. It's been awhile. I like it so much that I immediately developed them the next day. Well, it was my last day and I have a flight to catch at night. I did my last minute baking for mum's event. I hope it was enough. I had my favourite mee hoom by my aunt at night before heading to the airport.

It was hard to say goodbye to my room and house. It was harder to say goodbye to my nieces and aunt and uncle. Even the maid came rushing to say goodbye to me. My brother who normally is busy going out with friends were home and followed my parents to the airport to send me off. And the hardest was to call my grandma to say flying off and to say goodbye to my parents. I really do not know where else I could find so much love apart from home. Again the question, why I always leave home when I love it so much? I keep telling myself for future sake.. I have to be patient. So, there you go, the 10 days of family love in Msia.. Miss you all back home!!
