Life in Sydney... hhmmm

It's been a month plus since I last blogged. Since then, many things happened and well, I would say my life have been pretty relax and easy.

Class has always been pretty easy at this institute I'm currently studying at. So, big chance I will go back to my masters this coming July to stress myself up a bit.

In mid March, I went to Melbourne to visit my brother who is studying at RMIT now. Purpose? To see what he is still lacking and all, mum still worried about him. So, I had my chance to meet up with Alia and Jonathan who both came to Melbourne. I managed to explore some parts of Melbourne city since I was kinda stucked in St Marys College the other time we were down there for NCG. So, a week trip was more than enough. Funny thing, I am actually having conversations with my bro about drinking and uni life. Interesting?? I just hope he would turn out better drinker like me. :P

Came back to Sydney, everything went quite normal and laid back. I ought to find jobs but was taking my own sweet time and a bit fussy over casual jobs. I might taking RSA just to add some skills into my resume. I have been on the computer most of the time, I wonder if there is a job that is computer related and work from HOME!!! :P

Overall, everything slowed down. Maybe not having so much commitments anymore. Kinda miss being BUSY.. :P Anyway, I played netball again for MASA during the sports carnival again and was glad that the team was a lot better, thanks to all the girls. Now, we are likely to go for social comps and I really am looking forward to it.

Last night, at SIN dance party, I guess no responsibility kinda fun is what I experienced. I was glad that my friends were not that drunk. At the same time, I don't have duty and all. So, was a MOST enjoying dance party for me. Good Job Socials.. :P

Now, is kinda the time I need to start serious with my life. So, till something interesting happened.. I will blog then. CYA!!!

Back in Sydney - home sickness kicked in!!

I just got back to Sydney today and the sad feeling kicked in since the night after my family's CNY Open House. I came to realise everytime I go home, I was back for at least 2 - 3 months. But this trip back that lasted 3 weeks, was definitely not enough.

I didn't get to spend enough time with my family as it was CNY time and definitely it made all of us busy with everything in the house and all. But I'm glad I came back for it. Though time was limited but I managed to fully utilised it. Thanks to my dad, mum, bro , grandma and relatives: uncles, auntie and cousins, even nephew and neices.

At the same time, I didn't have time to meet up many of my friends. Only the gathering with all primary schoolmates and also the uts gang gathering at my house open house. Thanks to all who came as it is really great to meet you all again.

Yesterday when I left my grandma's house, I teared as I know I will miss my dear grandma again. Then when I left my house, I know I'm going to miss my house and room that I loved. And when I was about to board the plane and all, the moment my niece said bye to me, I broke down as I know it will be another year or more that I will see her again, same goes to my other relatives. What more when I bid goodbye to my parents and bro, even though I know they will come to Sydney after sending my bro today to Melbourne, I know I will miss them too. and their love for me is always there. Comparing so many times I leave Msia for Sydney.. this time was the hardest time for me. I don't know why.... All I know is I hate the word GOODBYE...

Happy Valentine's Day Everyone especially singles... :P

To all my friends,

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

Yes, Jenny is sitting at the computer tonight because she's single and no one ask her out for a date..and yes, it's sad... BUT well, after seeing those flowers and bears around Subang and Sunway.. I think i had too much to see. Plus, I'm still kinda enjoy single life for now. HEHE!! Yes, I'm getting older and even my grandma is asking any male friends that are suitable.

Anyway, my V-day was just another day and what more it's the 8th day of CNY, the day for us, Hokkiens pray. I made a fulfilling day today going to collect my contact lenses supplies and went and visit the staffs at TBS. I managed to have a good chat with Franscina, Alicia, Elvin and Stacey. Some of the staff are no longer there, like Esmond and Li San. It was a good meet-up. It's like my routine of going back every year to visit them as they are the few that I enjoy working with them during exhibitions as student helpers for TBS last time. I actually miss those times. My confidence of talking to people started then and thinking back, I am kind of amazed with myself.

Then went to Sunway and Carrefore to buy stuff back to Sydney. Gosh, to see so many couples walking around and all of them are mostly those who are still in college or high school. HAIZZZ...

One more interesting thing I saw when I was driving on LDP, someone actually proposed to his girlfriend with his picture there on a billboard near to Kelana Jaya Seafood Restaurant. Watch out for it if you are driving towards Sunway direction. It's interesting and I wonder how much he spent on it. If the girl say YES, then it's all worth it I think. Ever thought if the girl say NO, damn heartache for the guy's wallet. The billboard is not small wey.. Too bad I didn't managed to take a picture of it..Well to the girl, Kelly Tan (cannot remember full name) hope it was a good proposal.. :P. The last I heard about such action was last time when someone proposed using Hilton PJ to put the banner.

Well, enjoy V-day everyone. For couples, enjoy spending those expensive meals, flowers and gifts. Maybe a cheap V-day for a change would be good. Come out ideas with your creativity. For singles, enjoy being happy for now!! If no gf or bf to wish you on this day.. I represent them all : HAPPY V-DAY!!

Malaysia - entertainment and music industry!!

Over the past few days, I've been youtubing alot as not being in Malaysia, I guess that one of the things i miss is the movies and music - local production ones. Today I discover another interesting malay movie called 'KAYANGAN' and it came out last year, when I'm not around and therefore missed it. It is another movie after 'CINTA' that I told myself I have to get a copy of the dvd if it's in store and watch it. Hopefully it's not disappointing. :P However.. 'MUKSHIN' is another one I will definitely watch after Chrys said it was nice!!

Music.. even the 'KAYANGAN' theme song by Ajai and Tunku Mimi, is quite nice.. for a person like me.. in case you do not know, I LOVE DUETS!!!

Apart from that, I discover a new raising star in Malaysia, Karen Kong who came out with a Malay and Chinese album in just a year... my fav song from her is her remake of 'In Love Again' by Janice Wei. It's simple but meaningful!! Sing together with the lyrics with the song that is playing now.. :P (the playlist will be back soon)

Lyrics - In Love Again
When u smile
My life becomes a ray of light
Sing me a lullaby
To sleep at midnight

I’ll be hypnotized
when looked into your eyes
Turn off the room light
Let's Spend the night

Chorus
Take me to far away
Away to your secret place
Take my tears my fears
Take all my pain for which I'll repay
Someday with a kiss and say
Can't believe that I’m in love
In love again

When the stars don’t shine
And when the birds don’t fly
And when the flowers cry
And when the rain runs dry
When the violet's red and when the rose turn blue
Baby I’ll still be in love with u

Chorus X2

New Year, New Journey, New Blog Image!! and 'Enchanted'

It's been 4 days of the new year and while wondering what interesting to do.. I thought since it's a new year.. why not help my blog change it's image..:P

I pretty much wanted to make it blueish initially cause it's my favourite colour.. but because i like the picture of the girl and so well.. green it will be.. maybe it would be seasonal!! :P

Give me some feedback and suggestion on whether i should change it?? :P

Anyway, just the two days ago, I finally got to go and watch the Walt Disney Movie - 'Enchanted'. Storyline maybe too fairytale.. but I like the songs featured and the idea of maybe reality can be fairytale?!? hehe.. There are a couple of conclusion I could make after watching it:

  1. James Marden is really have good voice to sing.. :P look at 'Hairspray' and 'Enchanted'.
  2. Amy Adams is also as good as disney princess voice and her acting as one is really great.
  3. Favourite part of the story: Pip pantomime in the real world.. cute and funny!!
  4. I discovered another new music artist that I like - Jon Mclaughlin..
  5. Carrie Underwood's voice... nice...
  6. Alan Menken the one of the composers of the songs.. I love the Enchanted Suite..
A few videos to share with you..

1) Jon Mclaughlin - So Close with footage of scenes from the movie.

2) Carrie Underwood - Ever Ever After - ending song of the movie.

To listen to songs only, check out the imeem playlist i have at my sidebar.. ENJOY!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! 2008!!

I would like to wish everyone who reads this blog... HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Imagine having a long long sleep for the first day of the year..hmm.. all thanks to the great celebration and I would consider it an interesting experience that is all worthwhile my time spent waiting for 10 hours under sun and stars for the new year to arrive!!! Yes.. I was at Circular Quay with the other thousands of people waiting for the fireworks at midnight.

I was glad to join Mei Yen and her sis and went there at about 2pm. The weather was crazily hot, I would say "SUMMERTIME IS FINALLY HERE". Even though having to went to the beach last Saturday.. but the weather throughout the summer wasn't consistent at all. Anyway, we went there and got a nice spot near sidewalk of the opera house. When we got there, the crowd was already there. We had Mc Ds for lunch and didn't even dare to go out from there as access to this crowded place is limited and they actually close the place up at about 4 something.

Well, we were joined by Kelly after her work and Keith came by every now and then while he was working. I met a couple of people I know there too.. the 'Semangat' people :P. Over 10 hours of spending time doing nothing but keeping ourselves shed from the sun with our umbrella and drinking VB and eating some of the snacks we made and brought, I finally realized that some people would actually bring their uncivilized attitude to Aussie-land, until Mei Yen and I nearly got into a fight and that also not for midnight fireworks but for the 9pm show. OMG!!!

Anyway, after that we make our move to where Kay were instead of fighting with some uncivilized people. In conclusion, it was the night I will not forget. Like Mei Yen's sis said, 'If someone proposed to me in front of this scenario, I will marry him!!!' I totally agree.. :P

Anyway, I will post up the videos soon.. but HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
